Deacon Robert Wingfield, Jr. is a tireless, humble, faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Whether it’s caring for his ailing wife and parents or serving as a volunteer with the Visiting Nursing Association, he has touched the lives of the infirmed and dying. His remarkable service for Christ involves helping to establish two churches: St. Paul Baptist Church, St Paul, N.C., and the Woodstream Church, Mitchellville, MD. He has served as a Missionary to Israel and participated in numerous short term mission trips spanning the globe for Jesus Christ. His commitment to maintaining God’s House has him arriving at the church before 6:00 a.m. seven days a week. The immense respect and love his family, friends, church and community have for him makes him very special. Preschoolers love to greet him, teenagers call him grand dad, and widows call him in times of need. He is a preacher’s greatest friend and mainstay of support.
